Summonses to appear at hearings, 1880-1884.

The Board of Railroad Commissioners had general supervisory powers over railroads and street railways. In carrying out its responsibilities, the board held hearings relating to petitions brought forward by railroad companies and other interested parties. Summonses to appear at hearings were issued by the board and delivered by county officials to persons called on to present testimony.
